Your sources talk. Only you hear it.
HeyHey is a messenger for reporters. Messages are sealed on your own device, and only the person you wrote to can open them. Calls, groups and stories work like the apps you already use.
The Windows app is coming to the Microsoft Store.
Your whole team, in one safe place
Everything a reporter needs on a busy day, with the privacy settings already on.
Locked. Audio and video are encrypted between the devices in this call.
Group calls with a lock
Up to 8 people on one call, with the lock switch you see here. Turn it on and the call is sealed end to end.
Groups for the story team
Anyone can start a group of 1 to 8 people. Each member gets their own sealed copy of every message, so only members can read it.
Add a new device safely
A new device has to show a 4-digit number that you confirm on the old one. A wrong number cancels the request.
Two-step login
HeyHey reminds you to turn it on, and asks again after 7 days until you do.
Stories, reactions and stickers
It stays a messenger people enjoy, so your sources keep using it.
What we can see, and what we cannot
A messenger for journalists should say this plainly.
We cannot see
- What your messages say. They are sealed on your device and opened on the receiver's.
- Your private keys. They are made on your device and stay there.
- Locked calls. With the lock on, audio and video are encrypted between devices.
We can see
- The email you signed up with.
- When messages are sent and between which accounts. Not what they say.
Pick a look. The whole page changes.
HeyHey ships with these glass looks. Choose one in Settings, and it recolors every screen.
